Award Ribbon Color Guide
Are you a new person getting ready to order award ribbons for an upcoming show or event? Or do you want to “shake things up” with some new color designs? Well believe it or not the same ribbon “color” rules do not apply to every event. Horse shows, dog shows, livestock events and even school events may require different colors for different placings. This changing information can be very confusing to even the most experienced individual. If you are a true traditionalist who wants to go straight by the book, then see the easy guide below for the most popular place color choices. Although these are the most popular colors used for placings, these rules are not always written in stone. Check with your association or consult the rulebook before making changes. If you decide you do not want to go with the traditional awards, then the sky is the limit. We have heard from many event managers that their competitors absolutely love when the colors of the award ribbons are outside the box, especially the larger champion award ribbons.
