Simply, we make award ribbons and we serve our customers, one at a time.
Every ribbon that is made by McLaughlin Ribbon Awards is important because quality is paramount. Every customer, whether they spend $25 or $5,000.00 matters to us because every customer deserves GREAT customer service.
Who We Are…
Behind the name of McLaughlin Ribbon Awards are the owners and regular folks, Blaine & Michele (that’s us in the picture).
We’ve been married for nearly 30 years and were high school sweethearts from the coal towns of Pennsylvania. We moved to North Carolina in the mid 1980’s and entered the adult world of high paced jobs. That grew very weary to us…the rats were winning the race.
Fast forward to the 1990’s where horses were once again a part of our daily life. We made the decision to leave the “rat race” and start a business in the horse industry. And along came B & M Stables in Four Oaks, North Carolina; horse boarding, training, judging, clinics and lessons.
And shortly after that in the late 1990’s came our open horse show association, the Johnston County Horse Show Series which we successfully owned and operated from 1999-2015. And, you guessed it, McLaughlin Ribbon Awards followed in 2013.
McLaughlin Ribbon Awards…
Since the modest beginning in the original small shop in 2013, business blossomed thru 2014 and the urgent need for a larger space resulted in an addition to the existing shop.
Even that space did not last long. By early-2015, the business continued to grow and plans were made to construct a larger commercial building which was completed in July 2015 (pictured). Now in 2016 – we are blessed to have customers located all over the United States and some international customers and have a wonderful team of employees who help continue and contribute to the success of McLaughlin Ribbon Awards.
What We Believe…
- We believe that we are in business to create outstanding award ribbons that are creative and unique.
- We believe in focusing on developing and improving our unique line of award ribbons, not adding “clutter” to fill pages.
- We believe that customer service means not only serving our customers, but knowing who our customers are and fulfilling their needs.
- We believe that in order to succeed, hard work and honesty are key.
Where We Are Going…
Well, we are going to continue doing what we are doing now…making award ribbons for our awesome customers!
